MAS to Deploy Voice Over IP and Computer Telephony Solutions in National and Global Call Centers

Alpha Thought and PII Select MAS Consulting to Connect Call Centers using VoIP

CHICAGO, IL, May 15, 2002 - MAS Consulting, a Chicago based technology integration and consulting firm has been selected by two different Illinois based call centers for integration of computer telephony software. Both Alpha Thought, headquartered in Chicago and Progressive Impressions International based in Bloomington, will rely on MAS to deploy AltiGen telephony solutions coupled with voice over IP for remote connectivity of their call centers.

Alpha Thought, headquartered in Chicago, selected MAS Consulting to install, integrate, and customize a telephony solution for its global network of call centers. Alpha Thought maintains offices with call centers in Chicago, North Carolina, and India where they handle debt collections for the medical industry. They required a system by which the three offices remote call centers could connect via voice over Internet protocol (VoIP). By utilizing VoIP, Alpha Thought will be able to eliminate the long distance charges they would have normally incurred from capitalizing on the inexpensive India labor pool. Additionally, the system provides Alpha Thought with extensive reporting features, screen pops that alert the call center who is calling, and a PC based system for moving, adding, or changing extensions.

Progressive Impressions International (PII), a division of Taylor Corporation, also recently chose MAS for installation of an AltiGen system. The system will enable PII to connect their 250-person call center in Bloomington, IL with a Chicago office via high-speed Internet connection. This implementation will decrease their communications and maintenance costs, long distance office-to-office charges, and improve customer service.

MAS has been an AltiGen integrator/reseller for the last seven years and has successfully deployed over 80 AltiGen systems.
