Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 – MAS Consulting is excited to present Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) as a featured quarterly solution.  To demonstrate our expertise with MOSS 2007, MAS Consulting has achieved the Microsoft Information Worker Solutions competency. The Information Worker Solutions Competency focuses on implementing collaboration and communications solutions, business intelligence (BI) solutions, enterprise content management (ECM) and forms solutions and enterprise project management (EPM) solutions, all features of MOSS 2007.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is a new Microsoft server program that is part of the 2007 Microsoft Office system. Office SharePoint Server 2007 can help your business to facilitate collaboration, provide content management features, apply business processes, and provide access to essential business information. MOSS 2007 allows you to create SharePoint sites that support specific content publishing, content management, records management, or business intelligence needs. Also, you are capable to conduct effective searches for people, documents, and data, participate in forms-driven business processes, and access and analyze large amounts of business data.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 provides a single, integrated location, allowing employees to effectively collaborate with team members, locate resources, search for individuals and internal company information, manage content and workflow, and make more informed-decisions with the provided business insight.  To summarize, the key capabilities of MOSS 2007 include Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and Business Intelligence.

Collaboration:  MOSS 2007 improves collaboration within your organization by providing a platform for information-sharing and team communities, allowing teams to work together, to collaborate and publish documents, maintain team task lists, apply workflows, and use wikis and blogs to share information.  The key collaboration features of MOSS 2007 include collaborative workspaces, portals, and social computing tools.

Enterprise Search:  MOSS 2007 allows users to quickly and easily find people, expertise, resources, and content across many business applications and in a wide range of repositories and formations.  While still offering security permissions MOSS2007 enterprise search is build for the enterprise business, can unlock data and expertise, and offers a fully integrated user experience.

Enterprise Content Management:  ECM allows your business to create and manage documents, records, forms solutions, and Web content.  Microsoft’s Enterprise Content Management is critical to your organizations infrastructure in order to utilize its content as a valuable asset for improved knowledge sharing, customer communications, and process efficiency.  The Microsoft ECM solution allows your business to mange diverse content, satisfy compliance and legal requirements, efficiently manage multiple websites, and streamline business processes.

Business Process and Forms:  MOSS 2007 allows you to create workflows and electronic forms to automate and structure business processes.  Your business can create, maintain, and analyze custom workflows.  The InfoPath designed electronic forms provide data collection and validation, regarding the information driving your business processes.  The workflow and document information is integrated within Microsoft Office applications.
